Who Should Apply
Any person, who wishes to use another suitable provision for installation of a room-sealed gas water heater to serve a bathroom in any premises, shall seek EMSD’s approval before the installation work is carried out.

The home owner may engage a registered gas contractor to fill in an application form [PDF format (114KB)] and submit with the relevant work drawings, documents and other information to the Gas Standards Office, Electrical and Mechanical Department, 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong by post or personally. The application will be examined for compliance with the relevant legislations and codes of practice. If the application is approved, an approval letter will be issued to the applicant.
