This Listing contains models of LPG lighters as of the above date in accordance with the Guidance Note GU18 - “Safe Use of LPG Lighters” issued by the Gas Standards Office of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

6. The serial number for LPG lighter shall be legible.  The serial number shall be either on the lighter itself, or in a separate brochure or pamphlet packed with the lighter, or on the consumer product packaging provided for the point of sale.

Applicants / importers must, however, guarantee that the quality of their LPG lighters sold in Hong Kong are in good conditions. If any brand(s) / model(s) of LPG Lighter products are found unsafe, the applicants / importers should implement the commitments stated in the remedial measures manual to make appropriate remedial action in accordance with the Guidance Note GU 18: Safety of LPG Lighters.
