Starting from 17 December 2012, the Lifts and Escalators (Safety) Ordinance (Chapter 327) (“the LESO”) is repealed and is completely replaced by the new Lifts and Escalators Ordinance (Chapter 618) (“the Ordinance”), and the two regulations, the Lifts and Escalators (General) Regulation (Cap. 618A) and the Lifts and Escalators (Fees) Regulation (Cap. 618B).
