Being the Government's consultant and the regulatory body on electricity
and gas issues, we monitor the technical performance and development plans
of the electricity supply companies under the Scheme of Control Agreements.
We also provide technical support to the Environment Bureau in mapping
out the direction for the future development of our electricity supplies.
Working closely with the two power companies and the gas company in Hong
Kong, we help to ensure that the public enjoy a safe, steady, reliable
and cost effective supply of electricity and gas at all times.
