From 18 March 2008, you can submit Certificate on periodic examination of Lift (Form 11) or Escalator (Form 12) by electronic submission through the ¡§EMSD Web-Based Registration Services¡¨ website.

As a lift/escalator owner:-
you may authorize your registered lift/escalator contractor to submit the Form 11/12 by electronic means through the EMSD website, you will gain the following benefits:

1. E-submission will save you time and mailing/transportation costs;

2. E-submission will shorten the processing time of each certificate and you will receive the registered certificates faster for timely posting of the certificates in lift car/escalator.

As a registered lift/escalator contractor: -

1. you can find out the date of last full load examination and also the date of last periodic examination of a lift;

2. you will save you time and mailing/transportation costs;

3. you will shorten the processing time of each certificate and you will receive the registered certificates faster;

4. E-submission is easy for tracking the status of the certificates and the payment conditions can be checked at the finger tips and

5. E-delivery of registered certificates is possible eliminating the risk of losses in the mail.
