Efficiency Labelling scheme for
Compact Fluroescent Lamps
Since April 1996, you can find energy labels displayed on some popular household electrical appliances in the market. These energy labels provide the appliance's energy consumption and efficiency data to the consumers.
In December 1998, a new "Recognition Type" Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme has been launched for compact fluorescent lamps.

The "Recognition Type" energy labels do not provide any energy data but instead, they recognize the labelled compact fluorescent lamps have met the following minimum energy efficiency and performance requirements of the labelling scheme:
