機電工程署致力向市民推動能源效益和節約能源的方法。為了宣揚環保訊息，我們全力支持並參與環保促進會於1月12日主辦的「環保嘉年華2014」。

在開幕禮上，助理署長/電力及能源效益賴漢忠先生鼓勵市民從改變日常生活態度和習慣開始，踏出節能第一步，例如熄掉不必要的照明、空調、家電和電腦等，從而減少用電量，達致節能和慳錢的目的。

機電工程署在嘉年華會的遊戲攤位，以「節能減排、點解唔熄」為主題，透過遊戲，鼓勵市民節約能源。我們的攤位廣受市民大眾歡迎，並不時出現長長的輪候人龍！


Supporting Green Carnival 2014

EMSD is committed to promoting energy efficiency and energy saving practices to the public. To support the environmental protection initiative, we participated in the Green Carnival 2014 on 12 January organised by the Green Council.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Harry Lai Hon-chung, Assistant Director/Electricity and Energy Efficiency, encouraged the public to save energy by changing their attitude and daily practices, such as turning off unnecessary lighting, air-conditioning, home appliances and computers. Reducing electricity consumption will achieve both energy and money savings.

EMSD’s game booth at the Carnival was designed with the theme of “Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction” (節能減排 點解唔熄), encouraging the public to save energy via the games. The booth was well received, as evidenced by the long queues!
