Online application for new and renewal of Competent Person
through "EMSD (Regulatory Services) Web Based Registration Services" and "iAM Smart +"

From 1 January 2022, the new application and license renewal application for Competent Person for Locating Underground Electricity Cables can be applied online through "EMSD (Regulatory Services) Web Based Registration Services" and "iAM Smart +" by mobile phone or computer. Please read the following guidelines and related requirements and information prior to using the services.

     • Current Certificate of Approval as a competent person(JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
     • Academic qualification certification (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
     • Training / Apprenticeship certification (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
     • Reference letter for working experience (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
     • Supplementary documents of practical experience (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 10 Mbytes)
