  1. PREFACE

    1. As stipulated in the Electricity Ordinance (Cap. 406), all electrical workers engaged in electrical work on fixed electrical installation are required to be registered with the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administration Region. EMSD, the University of Hong Kong (HKU), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU), the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) have jointly organized an "Examination for Registration as a Grade C Electrical Worker" for those who have sufficient years of practical experience in electrical work but without the recognized academic qualifications and wish to apply for registration as Grade C electrical workers.
