In accordance with Schedule 13 to the Lifts and Escalators Ordinance, Chapter 618, the Secretary for Development has appointed the following persons to be members of the Appeal Board Panel:-

Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers who are

registered professional engineers within the discipline of building

services engineering, mechanical engineering, or marine and naval

architecture engineering

Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers who are

registered professional engineers within the discipline of control,

automation and instrumentation engineering, electrical engineering or

electronic engineering

Registered lift engineers or escalator engineers represent the

interests of lift engineers and escalator engineers

Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers whose names

are in the list of engineers contained in the register kept under

section 3(2)(b) or (3) of the Building Ordinance (Cap 123)

Persons represent the interests of lift contractors or escalator

contractors

Registered lift workers and escalator workers for all kinds of lift and

escalator works represent the interests of lift workers and escalator

workers

Laypersons represent the interests of persons carrying on the

business of property management

Laypersons who are members of management committee, or new

management committee, within the meaning of the Building

Management Ordinance (Cap 344); or who owns a lift or escalator
