Description | The works shall include the implementation of the Central Command System as Section I works and a subsequent nine years of maintenance support service (subject to excision) as Section II works. The system will be used to monitor the majority of the sea Boundary of Administration by detecting a target on the radar, observing the target with either the daylight cameras or thermal imagers and then taking the most appropriate action. The scope of work shall include the supply and installation of long range daylight cameras and thermal imagers at remote sites, central control system and an interface to an existing land based radar system. The works are expected to commence in May 2007 and will take about 22 months to complete. |

Closing Date/Time | 12:00 noon, Friday, 3 November 2006 In the event a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or rainstorm black warning is issued between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on the closing date, the tender closing time will be postponed to 12:00 noon on the first working day of the following week. An announcement of the change will be made through the radio. |

Submission of Tender | Tenders must be clearly marked with the tender reference and the subject of the tender on the outside of the envelope (but should not bear any indication which may relate the tender to the tenderer) addressed to the Chairman, Central Tender Board, and placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box situated in the lift lobby on the lower ground floor of the Central Government Offices (East Wing), 20 Lower Albert Road (at its junction with Garden Road), Hong Kong. Late tenders will not be accepted. |
Remarks | This tender is subject to the Agreement on Government Procurement of the World Trade Organization. The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region does not bind itself to accept any tender irrespective of whether the tender is the lowest bid or, where the assessment of the tenders is based on a marking scheme, the tender has the highest overall mark. |
