Provision of Traffic Control and Surveillance System for Widening of Tolo Highway/Fanling Highway between Tai Hang and Wo Hop Shek Interchange

The scope of the works includes provision of Traffic Control and Surveillance System for Widening of Tolo Highway/Fanling Highway between Tai Hang and Wo Hop Shek Interchange and integration with the existing Tolo TCSS System. The Contract is anticipated to commence in Aug 2019 for completion in Aug 2022.

Open tendering is adopted. Contractors who also meet the following qualifications and other conditions for participation stipulated in the tender documents are invited to tender:-

The tenderer must have completed relevant construction contract(s) with aggregated contract value of not less than Hong Kong Dollars ten million (HK$10 million), in or outside Hong Kong, within the past ten (10) years, immediately preceding the Tender Closing Date specified in the letter of invitation to tender regardless of any subsequent extension.  In the case of a joint venture, only the lead participant or major shareholder is required to meet this minimum experience requirement.

If a black rainstorm warning signal or typhoon cyclone warning signal No. 8 or above is in force at any time between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon on Friday, 26 April 2019 10 May 2019, the tender closing time will be postponed to 12:00 noon on the first working day after the black rainstorm warning signal has ceased to be in effect or the typhoon cyclone warning signal No. 8 is lowered.

In case of blockage of the public access to the location of the Specified Tender Box at any time between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon on Friday, 26 April 2019 10 May 2019, the Government will announce extension of the tender closing time until further notice. Following removal of the blockage, the Government will announce the extended tender closing time as soon as practicable. Sealed tenders in triplicate must be clearly marked with the tender reference and the subject of the tender on the outside of the envelope (but should not bear any indication which may relate the tender to the tenderer) addressed to the Chairman, Public Works Tender Board and placed in the Public Works Tender Box situated in Room 4128f, 41/F., Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong before 12:00 noon on Friday, 26 April 2019 10 May 2019.  Tenders must be deposited in the tender box as specified in this tender notice (“Public Works Tender Box”) before the tender closing time. 1. This tender is not covered by the Agreement on Government Procurement of the World Trade Organization.
