The scope of works for this contract includes comprehensive maintenance of UPS systems at various venues of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The works are scheduled to commence in November 2015 for completion in November 2018.

Selective tendering is adopted. Contractors on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Uninterruptible Power Supply Installation", or joint ventures with participation of local and/or overseas contractors with the lead participant or the major shareholder being on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Uninterruptible Power Supply Installation", who also meet the following requirements and other conditions for participation stipulated in the tender documents are invited to tender:

(i) Experience Requirement
The tenderer shall have completed maintenance contracts for Uninterruptible Power Supply systems with a total aggregate contract value of not less than HK$3 million within the 5-year period immediately preceding the tender closing date specified in the Letter of Invitation to Tender regardless of any subsequent extension. In the case of a joint venture, only the lead participant or major shareholder is required to meet this experience requirement.

(ii) The Tenderer’s Status on the Approved List
The tenderer or the lead participant/major shareholder of the joint venture must be on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Uninterruptible Power Supply Installation".

Contractors not yet on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Uninterruptible Power Supply Installation" may still submit a tender, provided they submit a request for participation together with a duly completed application for inclusion in the above-mentioned approved list/category by 28 July 2015 to Mr. Michael P.M. 1. This tender is covered by the Agreement on Government Procurement of the World Trade Organization and will not involve electronic auction. This notice also serves as a summary notice required under the Agreement on Government Procurement of the World Trade Organization.
