The scope of works includes the provision of fault attendance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and replacement services on special lighting works, such as subway, footbridge, walkway, ferry concourse and tram shelter lighting installations. The works are expected to commence in February 2016 for completion in July 2019.

Selective tendering is adopted. Contractors on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of Electrical Installation (Group III) and/or under the category of Industrial Type Electrical Installation or joint ventures with participation of local and/or overseas contractors with the lead participant or the major shareholder being on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of Electrical Installation (Group III) and/or under the category of Industrial Type Electrical Installation who also meet the qualifications and conditions for participation stipulated in the tender documents are invited to tender. 

Contractors not yet on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of Electrical Installation (Group III) or under the category of Industrial Type Electrical Installation may also submit a tender if they submit a request for participation together with a duly completed application for inclusion in the above-mentioned approved list/category by 18 December 2015 to Transport, Security and Central Services Division, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, 6/F., 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong, meet the qualifications and conditions for participation, and the application for inclusion is duly approved on or before the tender closing date.
