Description | The scope of the Works includes maintenance and repair of lift installations in various premises of the Government of the HKSAR. The Contract is scheduled to commence in April 2021 for completion in March 2024 |
Contractors Invited to Tender | Selective tendering is adopted. Confirmed contractors on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Lift, Escalator and Passenger Conveyor Installation" or joint ventures with participation of local and/or overseas contractors with the lead participant or the major shareholder being a confirmed contractor on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Lift, Escalator and Passenger Conveyor Installation" who also meet the following qualifications and other conditions for participation stipulated in the tender documents are invited to tender:- 1. A tenderer must be a registered lift contractor under the Lifts and Escalators Ordinance (Chapter 618 of the Laws of Hong Kong); and 2. A tenderer must have completed Lift maintenance contracts in or outside Hong Kong within the past 5 years with the minimum accumulated awarded contract sum of not less than HK$6 million. Contractors not yet on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of "Lift, Escalator and Passenger Conveyor Installation" may also submit a tender if they submit a request for participation together with a duly completed application for inclusion in the above-mentioned approved list/category by 17 November 2020 to Health Sector Division, 6th Floor, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department,3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, meet the qualifications and conditions for participation, and the application for inclusion is duly approved on or before the tendering closing date. Submission of Tender | Sealed tender in triplicate must be clearly marked with the tender reference and the subject of the tender on the outside of the envelope (but should not bear any indication which may relate the tender to the tenderer) addressed to the Chairman, Public Works Tender Board and placed in the Public Works Tender Box situated in Room 503 on the 5th Floor, Low Block, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong, before 12:00 noon on Friday, 4 December 2020. Tenders must be deposited in the tender box as specified in this tender notice (“Specified Tender Box”) before the tender closing time. Late tenders and tenders not deposited in the Specified Tender Box will not be accepted. |
