Supply and Installation of Data Acquisition Systems of Free-flow Tolling System and Associated Modification Works for Existing E&M Systems Affected by Toll Plaza Modification in Lion Rock Tunnel, Shing Mun Tunnels and Tsing Sha Control Area

The scope of the Works includes complete design, supply, delivery and installation of one (1) set each of new Data Acquisition System (DAS) in Lion Rock Tunnel (LRT), Shing Mun Tunnels (SMT) and Tsing Sha Control Area (TSCA) in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The DAS shall form part of the Free-flow Tolling System in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for toll collection. The scope of Works also covers modification works to existing E&M systems in Lion Rock Tunnel, Shing Mun Tunnels and Tsing Sha Control Area affected by toll plaza modification. The Contract is scheduled to commence in July 2021 for completion in November 2022.

Open tendering is adopted. All interested contractors who meet the following requirements are invited to tender:-

Experience Requirement

The tenderer must have completed works-portion of at least one relevant construction contract with contract value of not less than Hong Kong Dollars sixty million (HK$60 million), in or outside Hong Kong, within the past ten (10) years, counting back from and including the original date set for the close of tender regardless of any subsequent extension. In the case of a joint venture, only the lead participant or major shareholder is required to meet this minimum experience requirement.

If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or “extreme conditions after super typhoons” announced by the Government is/are in force at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on Friday, 28 May 2021 4 June 2021, the tender closing time will be postponed to 12:00 noon on the first working day after the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is lowered, or the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or the “extreme conditions after super typhoons” announced by the Government has/have ceased to be in force. In case of blockage of the public access to the location of the Specified Tender Box at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on Friday, 28 May 2021 4 June 2021, the Government will announce extension of the tender closing time until further notice. Following removal of the blockage, the Government will announce the extended tender closing time as soon as practicable. The above announcements will be made via press releases on the website of Information Services Department (https://www.info.gov.hk/gia/general/today.htm).
