Triennial Term Contract for Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical Installations at Tuen Mun Children and Juvenile Home and Miscellaneous Equipment in Premises in New Territories Region

The works shall include maintenance, repair, alterations and additions to the electrical and mechanical installations at Tuen Mun Children and Juvenile Home and Miscellaneous Equipment in Premises in New Territories Region.  This Contract is scheduled to commence in Apr 2017 for completion in Mar 2020.

Selective tendering is adopted. Contractors on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of Air-conditioning Installation (Group II), or joint ventures with participation of local and/or overseas contractors with the lead participant or the major shareholder being on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of Air-conditioning Installation (Group II), who also meet the following qualifications and other conditions for participation stipulated in the tender documents are invited to tender: -

1. The tenderer shall have completed maintenance and repair contracts for Air-conditioning installation with a total aggregate contract value of not less than HK$10.4 million within the 5-year period immediately preceding the tender closing date specified in the Letter of Invitation to Tender regardless of any subsequent extension. In the case of a joint venture, only the lead participant or major shareholder is required to meet this minimum experience requirement; and
2. The tenderer or the lead participant/major shareholder of the joint venture must be on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of Air-conditioning Installation (Group II).

Contractors not yet on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of Air-conditioning Installation (Group II) may submit a request for participation together with a duly completed application for inclusion in the above-mentioned approved list on or before 2 Dec 2016 to Mr. LEE Ming-bun, General Engineering Services Division, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, 6/F, 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong, meet the qualifications and conditions for participation, and their application for inclusion is duly approved on or before the tendering closing date. Contractors will be liable to have their names removed from the list of approved contractors if they fail or refuse to implement an accepted tender.

Sealed tenders in duplicate must be clearly marked with the tender reference and the subject of the tender on the outside of the envelope (but should not bear any indication which may relate the tender to the tenderer) addressed to the Chairman, Public Works Tender Board, and placed in the Public Works Tender Box situated in Room 4128f, 41st Floor of the Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong before 12:00 noon on Friday, 16 December 2016.
