Description | The scope of the replacement works includes the dismantling and renovation of the existing traffic control and surveillance facilities, and installation of new equipment to ensure continued safe and efficient traffic control, operation and management in the Shing Mun Tunnels and its control area. The system will consist of new variable message signs, automatic incident detection system, and other electronics subsystems. The civil works include the construction and erection of gantries, etc. The works are expected to commence in September 2012 and will take about 25 months to complete. | |||||||||

Contractors Invited to Tender | Tenderers who have experience in projects of similar nature are invited to tender. The civil works and structural steelwork included in the contract are to be undertaken by sub-contractor(s) on the List of Approved Contractors for Public Works in the category of Roads and Drainage Works (Group B) and the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works in the category of Structural Steelwork respectively, if the tenderer himself is not an approved contractor on any of the above lists | |||||||||
