Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs)

Under the new grading standard, Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) which obtain Grade 1 under the new grading standard are 90% more efficient than those under the existing standard. The energy efficiency grading standard of CFLs is the same as that of LED lamps under Voluntary Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme (i.e. adopting the same requirement of lamp luminous efficacy).

Higher Lamp Luminous Efficacy indicates a CFL with higher energy efficiency.

Note: Lamp Luminous Efficacy is either measured lamp luminous efficacy (Em) or rated lamp luminous efficacy (Er), whichever is smaller.
