Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) has rolled out the "Energy Consumption Survey on Buses and Taxis" in the territory of Hong Kong which will be conducted from March 2025 until March 2026. The survey aims to facilitate the HKSAR Government to understand the energy consumption characteristics of buses and taxis so as to update the Hong Kong Energy End-Use Database and formulate relevant policies.
STAT.com Limited (STAT) is commissioned by EMSD to carry out this Survey. STAT’s interviewers, bearing an interviewer badge and the invitation letter issued by EMSD, will conduct on-site face-to-face with vehicle drivers/owners and invite them to participate in this Survey by providing energy consumption and travelling information of the corresponding vehicle(s). All information collected during the Survey will be handled in strict confidence and be used only for data aggregation and statistical analyses. All completed questionnaires and information collected will be destroyed upon completion of statistical analyses.
