The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) is conducting a territory-wide "2022 Energy Consumption Survey on Private Housing and Other Housing" (the Survey) from December 2022 to November 2023. The Survey aims at facilitating the Government's better understanding of the profile about the energy consumption in local "Private Housing Segment" and "Other Housing Segment", with a view to updating the Hong Kong Energy End-Use Database and formulating relevant policies.
Asian Cities Research Centre Limited (ACRC) is commissioned by EMSD to carry out the Survey. Enumerators from ACRC will visit your household / building / housing estate to conduct a face-to-face interview, and collect the questionnaire and supplementary information in paper form. During the visits, the enumerators will wear uniforms and produce work identity cards issued by ACRC. Please be assured that all information collected during the Survey will be handled in strict confidence and be used only for data aggregation and statistical analysis. All completed questionnaires and collected information will be destroyed upon completion of the statistical analysis.
