Introduction

In accordance with the Gas Safety Ordinance, only vehicle carrying Gas Vehicle Permit (i.e. LPG Cylinder Wagon Permit) is allowed to carry LPG cylinder(s) which has a combined water capacity of not less than 130 Litres on road.

Before applying for the permit, the applicant should read the Guidance Note GU11 - Application for Cylinder Wagon Permit.

 

How to apply

Online Application

Note1: For the material submitted through the WBRS (i.e. application form and supporting documents), the printout is not required in the application.
Note2: Owner of vehicle may authorize an agent in writing (template of authorization letter)[PDF format (82KB)] to apply for the LPG cylinder wagon permit on their behalf.

Submission in person or by mail

The applicant may also submit the filled and duly signed form for application of Permit for Conveyance of LPG Cylinders on Gas Vehicle (Form 3)[PDF format (462KB)] to the Gas Standards Office in person or by mail.

Upon receiving the application form (original) and certified true copy of the supporting documents, the application will be processed by the EMSD.

 

Vehicle Examination Booking

After submitting the application form and specified supporting documents, the applicant may then book a time slot for vehicle examination:
