We have undertaken the refurbishment works of the underground seawater cooling mains for government buildings in Central, Admiralty and Wan Chai. To avoid disrupting road traffic, pipe jacking and trenchless pipe rehabilitation technology has been used. Plastic pipes are inserted into straight sections of the mains via tunnelling technology and cured with pressurised steam. This eliminates the need for open trenches, particularly suitable for busy areas.
