機電工程署全力支持造福社會、有益大眾的慈善事業。在過去數月，我們的同事踴躍參與了一系列公益活動，包括步行籌款、馬拉松、越野賽以至慈善晚宴等，希望透過我們的參與，幫助有需要的人士。

2013/2014年度港島、九龍區百萬行
2014年1月5日星期日，130多名機電工程署的同事及其家人，一齊參與「香港、九龍區百萬行」，為社會上有需要的人士和弱勢社群籌募善款。

樂施毅行者2013
機電署的同事組成不同團隊，參加「樂施毅行者2013」，為樂施會各項扶貧救災工作籌募經費。

「苗圃行動挑戰12小時」慈善越野馬拉松2013
所有參與馬拉松的隊伍必須在12小時內完成衛奕信徑的指定路段。我們同事在比賽中表現出色，為中國西部的高中學生募集學業和生活費。

東區醫院籌款晚宴
一直以來，無論在維修操作服務或慈善活動方面，機電工程署都是客戶的堅碩伙伴。去年11月，我們參與了東區尤德夫人那打素醫院（東區醫院）慈善信託基金的籌款晚宴，支持其推動先進醫療科技、醫學培訓以及為其服務的社區謀求健康福祉。


Charity Snapshots

EMSD is supportive of charitable events that contribute to a good cause and benefit the community. In the past few months, our colleagues have enthusiastically participated in a range of activities from a walkathon, a marathon and a cross country event to a charitable dinner. We hope our participation has helped make a difference to those in need.

2013/2014 Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk for Millions
More than 130 EMSD colleagues and their family members participated in the Hong Kong & Kowloon Walk on Sunday, 5 January 2014 to raise funds for the Community Chest for the needy and disadvantaged in our community.

Oxfam Trailwalker 2013
Our staff members formed different teams to participate in the Oxfam Trailwalker 2013 to raise funds for Oxfam's various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects.

Sowers Action Challenging
12 Hours Charity Marathon 2013
Participants in the Marathon had to complete designated sections of the Wilson Trail within 12 hours. Our colleagues did exceptionally well in the race and raised funds to subsidise high school students in western China in their studies and living expenses.

Eastern Hospital Charity Dinner
EMSD has always been a strong partner to our clients, be it in operation and maintenance services or charitable events. Last November, we participated in the charity dinner of the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH) Charitable Trust, supporting its cause to promote and advance medicine, medical education and the health and welfare of the community which PYNEH serves.
