The 18th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Internet of Things (IoT) Conference cum Open Harmony Ecological Development Conference was held in Guangzhou on 22 March. At the conference, the EMSD won the Best IoT Product Award in the Guangdong-Hong Kong Region for its Location Tracking System for Hong Kong Hikers. Using the navigation satellite system in conjunction with the GWIN, the system tracks the locations of hikers to safeguard public safety. The EMSD will continue to promote the exchanges and co-operation on IoT among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as enhancing the technological integration and complementarity of the three places, so as to jointly facilitate high-quality development and applications of IoT.
