Online application for New, Renewal of Electrical Contractor Registration, and
Copies of Certificate of Electrical Contractor Registration for Branch Offices
through "EMSD (Regulatory Services) Web Based Registration Services" and "iAM Smart +"

From 1 January 2022, the New, Renewal of Electrical Contractor Registration, and Copies of Certificate of Electrical Contractor Registration for Branch Offices can be applied online through "EMSD (Regulatory Services) Web Based Registration Services" and "iAM Smart +" by mobile phone or computer. Please read the following guidelines and related requirements and information prior to using the services.

  5. For applicants applying online, please prepare the following digital documents to facilitate the upload process:
     • Copy of company Business Registration Certificate (with validity not less than 1 month and printed with payment record) (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
     • If the applicant is not the proprietor or director of the company. An authorization letter signed by proprietor or director of the company should be submitted with the application. (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
     • Certificate of Registration of relevant electrical worker(s) (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
     • Letter signed by proprietor, director or authorized person confirming the employment of the REWs (date of issue should be within 1 month before the date of application) (JPEG or PDF with file size of equal to or less than 2 Mbytes)
