Technical Visits

18 December 2025 (Thur), 09:00 - 13:00
Site 1
The Hong Kong Science Park The Hong Kong Science Park's District Cooling System (DCS) utilizes a freshwater cooling system, which connects multiple energy centers and R&D buildings to achieve highly efficient interconnected cooling. Located along the shoreline of Tolo Harbour and covering approximately 22 hectares, the system supports research and development in fields such as biotechnology. It integrates green design, significantly reduces energy consumption, and contributes to a sustainable innovation ecosystem. On December 18, a visit to the District Cooling Plant will be conducted, along with an introduction to the system.
Site 2
Lee Garden DCS Hysan Development employs a district cooling system (DCS) in its Lee Garden commercial cluster, which includes iconic buildings such as Lee Garden One, Two, Three, Five, Six, and the latest project, Lee Garden Eight, to provide air conditioning for the entire area. The Lee Garden DCS is the first of its kind in Hong Kong has been successfully planned and implemented by a private developer in an existing, high-density urban center during redevelopment projects and proposed pedestrian bridge network. It serves as a valuable example for urban renewal and sustainable development in Hong Kong and other high-density cities.
