Since the founding of EMSTF in 1996, EMSD has been conducting the Customer Opinion Survey on a regular basis. The Hong Kong Productivity Council was commissioned to do the survey for 2006 and 73 customers were invited to take part in this exercise. The results showed that the customer satisfaction index rose from 5.97 in the last survey to 6.05 (out of a total score of 8) this year, indicating an increasing trend of customer satisfaction. What is more, 77% of the participants will "always or often consider" EMSD as the most preferred E&M engineering service provider. This finding is certainly most encouraging. The department would like to take the opportunity to thank all the customers who had taken the time to complete the questionnaire and offered valuable comments.

EMSD has been conducting the Staff Satisfaction Survey biennially since 1997. ACNielson was commissioned to carry out the 2005 survey. The satisfaction index was found to be 6.6 (out of a total score of 10), a slight increase over the 2003 survey results.
