The EMSD and the Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) have been working closely, endeavouring to develop innovative E&M solutions.
On 27 August, Mr Ng Chun-wah, Assistant Commissioner (Excise and Strategic Support) of Customs and Excise, led a delegation to visit the EMSD Headquarters (EMSD HQs) to learn about the EMSD’s latest innovation and technology (I&T) applications and explore future opportunities for collaboration. During the visit, both parties discussed the ways to apply different innovative technologies in the C&ED’s work, such as installing floodlights with ultra-high luminous efficacy in the workplace to enhance energy efficiency, adopting the Two-phase Immersion Cooling System for High Performance Computer Workstation to improve heat dissipation of computer equipment, and introducing smart warehouses to optimise exhibit management. After the visit, the EMSD staff actively followed up on the relevant issues, and arranged for the C&ED representatives to tour the smart warehouse in Siu Ho Wan to gain a deeper understanding of its actual operation.
Client departments are welcome to visit the EMSD HQs and engage in exchanges with us to explore various I&T solutions for enhancing work efficiency and energy efficiency.
