To enhance the operational efficiency and service quality of E&M equipment, we organised annual sharing and training sessions for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) in March this year, where we briefed over 50 FEHD health inspectors on common faults and maintenance issues related to E&M equipment in various local markets, such as fire services equipment, lifts and escalators. We highlighted areas requiring extra attention in daily operations, such as clearing debris from escalator surfaces and lift door gaps, and preventing cleaning water from entering escalator pits or lift shafts, to ensure the equipment remains reliable and durable. We will continue to hold similar sharing sessions for client.
Regarding internal staff training, since 2021, we have been offering various types of computerised stage lighting courses. In 2024, we collaborated with the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) to organise courses to train stage lighting technicians, emphasising both theory and practice. The new cohort of students had their graduation ceremony in June this year, showcasing their skills in stage lighting operation and design, and exchanging ideas with industry experts, laying a solid foundation for delivering high-quality technical support on stage lighting in the future.
